Jake Owen will compete in The Web.com Tour’s Nashville Golf Open, benefiting the Snedeker Foundation. Jake will maintain his amateur status in the event, which will be held at Nashville Golf & Athletic Club the week of May 21-27. He will compete on an unrestricted sponsor exemption. Jake is the second high-profile name to earn an exemption into a Web.com Tour event this year, joining 2017 NBA champion and Golden State Warriors All-Star guard Stephen Curry, who competed in the Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae in August. Jake has participated in several PGA TOUR Pro-Ams, including The RSM Classic last week on St. Simons Island, GA, where he played alongside tournament host and World Golf Hall of Fame member Davis Love IIIinois. He has also partnered with 2015 FedExCup champion Jordan Spieth at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am each of the last four years, receiving “The Arnie Award” during the 2017 event alongside Peyton Manning and Phil Mickelson, as part of Golf Digest’s “Golfers Who Give Back” event.
