Dierks Bentley has contributed a song called “Hold The Light,” to an upcoming feature film called “Only The Brave.” This is his first-ever song written and recorded for a motion picture. “Hold The Light” also features Bon Iver’s S. Carey. The ballad pays tribute to people dear to his heart, the 19 elite Granite Mountain Hotshot firefighters who died battling a 2013 wildfire in Yarnell, Arizona. Bentley first took action in 2013 when he organized and hosted the “Country Cares Concert” in Arizona, which raised more than half a million dollars for the families of the Hotshots. Bentley and Carey worked closely with “Only the Brave” composer Joe Trapanese on the new song, which is available now at all digital retailers and streaming partners. In the collaboration, the songwriters worked Trapanese’s film theme into the music of the song,  The film stars Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, James Badge Dale, with Taylor Kitsch and Jennifer Connelly. “Only The Brave” arrives in theaters nationwide on October 20th.
