Written by Lola Rizer on February 15, 2018
Daryle Singletary left behind a wife and four young children when he died unexpectedly on Monday (February 12th) at his Lebanon, TN home. To help support his family, Singletary’s record label, Platinum Records Nashville, will release a new song recorded by Singletary called “She’s Been Cheatin’ On Us.” All proceeds from the sale of the song will go to the Holly Singletary fundraiser.
Platinum Records owner Greg Hudik said, “We wanted radio and the world to hear the last recordings of Daryle Singletary. We’re working on a fund to 100 percent benefit the family from these last recordings. I know from recent talks with Daryle personally about his recent struggles of raising young children with his wife Holly. Daryle was playing small clubs almost every weekend. ‘She’s Been Cheatin’ on Us’ was the last song recorded by Daryle Singletary and I, Greg Hudik, only wanted to raise money to help his family and I also wanted the world to hear Daryle’s last performance.”
According to unconfirmed reports, Singletary’s death was caused by a blood clot. He was 46 years old.
