BRETT ELDREDGE ‘THANKFUL’ BLAKE SHELTON INVITED HIM ON TOUR
Brett Eldredge heads out on the road with headliner Blake Shelton for the Country Music Freaks tour, which kicks off tonight (Thursday, February 15th) in Tulsa, OK. Brett has known Blake for a while now, but this is first real tour with The Voice coach. Brett tells us he’s excited to take in the experience with one of Country’s biggest superstars. “He knows who he is and he’s always been so real to me. He’s no different from when I had nothing going on. I think I opened the show for him. My record deal wasn’t done yet but we hung out after the show and like we were best buds or something. I mean, he’s just very cool and I love that about him and he’s always just been awesome. He’s just an Oklahoma boy that is not only a huge artist and amazing singer but world star now but he doesn’t act like that at all. I’ve seen him a couple times live but I’ve never gotten to really spend time backstage and stuff with him and seeing how his days go. I love those moments of building up to the show, too, and hanging out, and of course the moments after. There’ll be some late hangs and all that but I feel like a real comfort of going into it like just relaxed and ready to put on some amazing shows and (I’m) just thankful he brought me out there.” The Country Music Freaks tour also features Carly Pearce and Trace Adkins. Brett’s latest hit, “The Long Way,” sits at Numbr 11 on the Billboard Country singles chart.
