THE OPRY GOES PINK WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM KELSEA BALLERINI AND TRISHA YEARWOOD
Written by Warren Ellison on October 6, 2017
Kelsea Ballerini and Trisha Yearwood are teaming up to help the Grand Ole Opry fight breast cancer. On October 24th, the Opry Goes Pink for the ninth year in a row. Kelsea will flip the ceremonial switch to turn the Opry’s iconic barn pink for the night, while Trisha will introduce this year’s Women Rock for the Cure honorary survivor. It’s a cause that’s very personal for Trisha, since she lost her own mother, Gwen, to cancer several years ago. LANCO, Easton Corbin, and Runaway June will also take the Opry stage that night, with five dollars from every ticket going to help Women Rock for the Cure in their efforts to fight breast cancer.
